The Orange is seeking applications for its Startup Challenges.

Challenges
  • Telco as a Platform: Orange is moving to a provider of digital services and capabilities. They seek partners to co-innovate and integrate their platform
    • Context/Need:
      • Orange is on the way to deploy one platform to deliver a wide range of services relying on an on-demand, secure and quality-driven infrastructure for B2B, B2B2C, Wholesale business, developers and partners at scale.
    • Expected Solutions:
      • Orange offers B2B customers a software defined secured connectivity that can be enriched with network services. Solutions to distribute compute at edge to improve performance and energy efficiency.
      • On Smart Industry: predictive maintenance, overall equipment effectiveness follow-up, worker safety, augmented worker, drones for data collection to enhance processes. Solutions to feed production models with AI, to aggregate local data to monitor KPIs, to enable near miss detection and prediction of at-risk contexts.
      • Orange develops its network API ecosystem to create value on B2B. Embedding APIs to invent new services or proposing new API services
  • Enriched services for consumer: Orange launches prplOS in its LiveBox, and mobile New Calling. They seek partners to promote innovative services.
    • Context/Need:
      • Orange in association with other telcos opens two new ecosystems for partners to transform the daily life of their customers at home and on the move. These initiatives leverage their local assets, including home services seamlessly integrated into the Livebox, repeaters, and other in-home devices, as well as mini-app services on the go, seamlessly embedded into audio and video calls on mobile devices. Theses mini apps invoked during a call and shown in the calling display are based on Web technologies and APIs.
    • Expected Solutions:
      • Orange places its home gateway as an assistant for the family leveraging IA capabilities to facilitate the daily life. Lan and Wifi excellence, cybersecurity, are their priority use cases already engaged, but all contexts of the life are subject to dedicated services: personal care, user presence detection etc. Use cases can be software embedded in the prpl compliant gateway and/or IOT devices connected to home LAN.
      • New Calling mini-apps services are expected to be monetize as premium voice service, initial targets could be professionals and enterprises that wants to deliver an enriched experience for their customers: business cards exchange and call notes resume are already available by default. This could include of course IA solution on top of mini apps such as Intelligent Agent, conservation analysis,….
