About Cory Janssen
Cory Janssen is a Canadian entrepreneur and investor specializing in technology and artificial intelligence ventures. He co-founded Investopedia.com in 1999, a financial education website that became one of the most popular financial sites on the web and was sold to Forbes Media in 2007. He is also the co-founder and co-CEO of AltaML, a software company that specializes in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. Prior to AltaML, Cory was a board observer at McCoy Global and IronSight. He has also served as the co-president of Investopedia from 2007 to 2009. Cory holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Cory has been actively involved in various organizations. He served as the past-President of the Edmonton chapter for Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) and is a member of the A100 and the Venture Mentoring Service (VMS) program at the University of Alberta. Through Janalta Interactive, Cory is in startup mode again with a new machine learning venture to help solve old problems in new ways. He is also a director at Edmonton Global and an independent director at VerticalScope Holdings, Inc.
