The continent's open reference for African enterprise, investment, and public-sector data — built and maintained by PoliWatch Africa in partnership with PANEOTECH.
All Business Africa exists to make the continent's economic life legible, searchable, and useful. For too long, information about African companies, investors, deals, public institutions, and development partners has been fragmented — locked inside paywalled databases, scattered across press releases, or buried in government filings that are difficult to access.
We bring that information together into a single open reference, structured for professionals who need it: founders hunting for capital, investors running diligence, journalists tracking deals, researchers mapping ecosystems, and public servants coordinating across borders. Every record is sourced, every field is cited where possible, and the platform is designed to grow with the ecosystem it documents.
A single platform spanning the full African business ecosystem
Startups, SMEs, corporates, and multinationals operating across the 54 African countries — from early-stage ventures to publicly listed firms.
Funding rounds, venture deals, M&A activity, and capital flows tracked with deal size, investor lineup, and sector context.
Investors, VCs, DFIs, governments, development agencies, intergovernmental bodies, and non-profit foundations active on the continent.
Industry-level intelligence across fintech, agritech, cleantech, healthtech, logistics, manufacturing, mining, and more.
Economic indicators, regulatory context, key institutions, and leading enterprises for every country we cover.
The people building, funding, and running African businesses — directly linked to the companies and deals they drive.
All Business Africa is a platform of PoliWatch Africa, a Pan-African civic technology and governance organization dedicated to strengthening public accountability, transparency, and informed participation across the continent. PoliWatch Africa owns and operates the platform and sets its editorial direction.
PANEOTECH is the platform's technology partner and development arm. A Pan-African digital systems engineering firm headquartered in Johannesburg with regional offices in Nairobi, Kigali, and Lomé, PANEOTECH designs and builds the platform, maintains its data infrastructure, and handles the engineering work that keeps the site running.
This partnership structure separates editorial ownership (PoliWatch Africa) from technical execution (PANEOTECH) while aligning both organizations around a shared mission: making the African business ecosystem easier to navigate for the people who work in it.
Our data is assembled from a combination of public sources, official filings, partner datasets, and direct submissions from the organizations we profile. Where information is drawn from a specific source, we aim to cite it. Where records are contributed by the entities themselves, we mark them as verified submissions.
We favor breadth and transparency over proprietary moats: the goal is to be a useful reference for the people working in African business, not to gate information behind expensive subscriptions. If you spot an error, a missing entity, or data that needs updating, we welcome corrections directly through the platform.
