Our mission
Africa’s economic life is enormous — and hard to see. Information about the continent’s companies, investors, deals, public institutions, and development partners is fragmented: locked inside paywalled databases, scattered across press releases, or buried in filings that are difficult to reach.
All Business Africa exists to make that information legible, searchable, and useful. We bring it together into a single open reference, structured for the people who need it in their working day: founders hunting for capital, investors running diligence, suppliers chasing tenders, journalists tracking deals, researchers mapping ecosystems, and public servants coordinating across borders.
Every record is sourced. Every field is cited where possible. And the platform is built to grow with the ecosystem it documents.

Work in your language. The site itself is in English. On an opportunity, a contract award, or a buyer profile, a translation control renders that record in English, French, Portuguese, or Arabic, marked as machine translated with the original one press away. It is a member feature and a plan has to grant it.
Access is free. We favor breadth and transparency over proprietary moats: the goal is to be a genuinely useful reference for the people working in African business, not to gate the continent’s information behind expensive subscriptions.

How we are organized
PoliWatch Africa
All Business Africa is a platform of PoliWatch Africa, a Pan-African civic technology and governance organization dedicated to strengthening public accountability, transparency, and informed participation across the continent. PoliWatch Africa owns the platform and sets its editorial direction — what we cover, how records are sourced, and how corrections are handled.
PANEOTECH
PANEOTECH is the platform’s technology partner. It designed and built All Business Africa and operates the engineering and data infrastructure that keeps it running.
About PANEOTECHThe structure is deliberate: editorial ownership (PoliWatch Africa) is separated from technical execution (PANEOTECH), while both organizations are aligned around one mission — making the African business ecosystem easier to navigate for the people who work in it.
Data sources & methodology
Our data is assembled from public sources, official filings, partner datasets, and direct submissions from the organizations we profile. Where information is drawn from a specific source, we aim to cite it. Where a record is contributed by the entity itself, we mark it as a verified submission.
No dataset of this scale is ever finished. If you spot an error, a missing entity, or a record that needs updating, we welcome corrections directly through the platform — they are reviewed by our editorial team and sourced like any other record.
