Ryan Allis is a technology entrepreneur and angel investor. He co-founded iContact in 2003, leading it as CEO until its acquisition in 2012. Under his leadership, iContact grew to 300 employees, 70,000 customers, and 1 million users, reaching the INC 500 list three times. After the acquisition, he co-founded Connect and established Hive Ventures, focusing on investing in companies addressing major human challenges. He has also been involved in various other ventures and initiatives. His investment strategy centers on supporting socially responsible, high-growth companies across the United States, Africa, and Latin America. He has invested in a diverse range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, energy, education, and financial services. His portfolio includes companies such as Change.org, Off-Grid Electric, Privail, Ark.com, Soma Water, Pengo Loans, VillageEnergy, Hydros Water, ThinkImpact, Bold Academy, EvoApp, Unblab (acquired by AOL), CityPockets, SpringMetrics, and School House. Allis is also the founder and CEO of SaasRise, a mastermind community for software CEOs and SaaS founders focused on scaling high-growth businesses. He is the author of 'Zero to One Million' and has been recognized with various awards, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas in 2008 and one of BusinessWeek’s 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25 in 2006. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has been involved in initiatives such as the United Nations Foundation Global Entrepreneur Council and the Obama Presidential Campaign as National Co-Chair of Tech for Obama.
