Historic Cape Dutch farm restored
About Babylonstoren Farm
Babylonstoren is one of the most historically significant Cape Dutch farms in South Africa, established in 1692 and restored as a working farm, boutique hotel, restaurant, and destination estate by Karen Roos (former editor of South African House and Garden) and her husband Koos Bekker (former Naspers CEO). Located in Simondium near Paarl, Babylonstoren features a world-famous eight-acre kitchen garden, farm-to-table restaurants (Babel and Greenhouse), a Cape Wine collection, a farm shop, farm-to-body products, and luxury farm accommodation. The property is one of South Africa's most celebrated culinary and agritourism destinations.
