Bakex Millers

Bakex Millers Limited is a Kenyan wheat flour milling company located in Thika, Kiambu County, operating as part of the Broadway Group alongside Broadway Bakery. Established in the 1980s, Bakex has a milling capacity of approximately 250 tonnes of flour per day and produces two market flour brands: Oboma and Vitafla, plus premium chapati flour "Phulka Atta Mark 1" and "Ungano" (a white/brown wheat blend). The mill was originally set up in response to the 1982 drought-driven wheat scarcity that threatened the Broadway bakery's viability and has since become one of the leading wheat millers in Kenya.
