Kano Tannery

Kano Tannery is a historic Northern Nigerian leather-processing industry centred in Kano State, which has been a major West African leather trading hub since pre-colonial times. The Kano tanneries process sheep, goat, and cattle hides and skins sourced from Northern Nigeria and across the Sahel region, producing finished leather for export to European fashion houses, footwear manufacturers, and luxury goods producers.
