Soweto Gold Brewery

Soweto Gold is a South African craft beer brand founded in 2012 by Ndumiso Madlala in Soweto, making it one of the first craft beer brands launched in a South African township. Brewed using South African hops and malt, Soweto Gold pays tribute to the vibrant culture and heritage of Soweto, the historic township that was the heart of the anti-apartheid struggle. The brewery has distribution across South African restaurants, bars, and retail outlets, and represents the emerging South African black craft beverage segment.
