Steers is one of South Africa's most beloved indigenous burger chains, founded in 1960 by George Halamandres (aka George Halmandres), a Greek-South African entrepreneur. Based in Johannesburg, Steers pioneered flame-grilled burgers in South Africa and is famous for its signature sauce and hand-prepared patties.
