Ster-Kinekor Theatres is one of South Africa's two major cinema chains (alongside Nu Metro), operating hundreds of screens across South Africa at major shopping centres and entertainment complexes. Founded in 1969 through the merger of Ster Films and Kinekor, the company is now part of the Primedia Group and has been instrumental in the South African cinema experience for generations. The chain distributes local and international films and has been a key platform for South African film industry development.
