Trufoods Limited

Trufoods Limited is a Kenyan food manufacturing company producing jams, sauces, biscuits, peanut butter, canned vegetables, and beverages. Originally founded in 1958 as "Pure Foods" and rebranded to Trufoods under Dr. Jayantilial Nemchand Shah (PhD Food Science), the company is headquartered on Jogoo Road in Nairobi's Industrial Area. After Dr. Shah's passing in 2005, Trufoods was acquired by the Malde family (KAVAMA Holdings), who added Carlton Products in 2006 and Golden Biscuits in 2017. The flagship Zesta jam brand is the market leader in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and Tanzania. Other brands in the portfolio include Kenylon, Gilda, Choco Primo drinking chocolate, Sunfresh tomato sauce, and Golden Biscuits.
