United Nigerian Textiles (UNT) Kaduna

United Nigerian Textiles Kaduna is the Kaduna operating arm of Nigeria's once-vast textile industry, which employed over 350,000 workers at peak in the 1980s. The Kaduna textile cluster (along with Lagos and Onitsha) was the heart of Nigerian textile manufacturing, producing cotton textiles, African print fabrics, and apparel. Decline due to smuggling, counterfeit imports, and power challenges has reduced the industry, but restoration efforts by the Nigerian government and Chinese-Nigerian joint ventures are underway to revive Kaduna textile manufacturing.
