Volcanoes National Park

Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans) is Rwanda's most famous national park, home to approximately one-third of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Established in 1925 as Africa's first national park, it was where Dian Fossey conducted her groundbreaking gorilla research. Gorilla tourism generates major revenue for Rwanda.
