Kenya Women Microfinance Bank (KWFT) is the largest deposit-taking microfinance bank in Kenya, with over 600,000 deposit accounts and a loan book of approximately USD 147 million. The bank serves over 800,000 female customers across 231 branches, primarily in rural areas. KWFTs Biashara Loan offers women in business KES 10,000 to KES 500,000 over 12 months with low processing fees. The Nyumba Smart loan supports incremental home improvement without requiring land titles. In 2024, AGF signed a USD 5 million risk-sharing partnership with KWFT to unlock up to KES 3 billion in financing for over 1,000 Women SMEs in Kenya.
