Description
Khazna is an Egyptian fintech founded in 2019 focused on earned wage access and lending for low-to-middle-income workers. The company secured USD 16 million in pre-Series B funding in February 2025, bringing total funding to over USD 63 million. The round was earmarked for two priorities: applying for a full digital banking license from the Central Bank of Egypt and expanding into Saudi Arabia. Khazna has more than 500,000 customers and reportedly broke even in early 2025, a significant milestone given the cash burn typical of African lending fintechs. The company targets mid-2026 to receive its CBE digital banking license. Investors include Aljazira Capital, anb Seed Fund, and SANAD Fund for MSME.
