Bob Lee was a distinguished angel investor and technology executive renowned for his pivotal role in the development of mobile payments and fintech. As the Chief Technology Officer at Square (now Block Inc.), he was instrumental in creating Cash App, a widely used mobile payment service. Prior to his tenure at Square, Lee was a software engineer at Google, where he contributed to the development of Android's core library and led the creation of the Guice framework. His expertise in mobile technology and payments positioned him as a leading figure in the fintech industry. In addition to his executive roles, Lee was an active angel investor, supporting a diverse range of startups across various sectors. His investment portfolio included companies such as SpaceX, Clubhouse, Tile, Figma, Faire, Orchid, Addressable, Nana, Ticket Fairy, Gowalla, Asha, SiPhox, Netswitch, and Found. His strategic insights and support were instrumental in the growth and success of these ventures. Tragically, Bob Lee's life was cut short on April 4, 2023, when he was fatally stabbed in San Francisco.
