Christian Niedermüller is an Austrian angel investor and co-founder of Blocktrade, a digital asset exchange. He has over 15 years of experience in banking, financial markets, and private equity, having held leadership roles at institutions such as UniCredit, ABBAG, Cerberus, and HCOB. In early 2022, he joined Blocktrade as CEO to accelerate the platform's strategic development and team expansion. Under his leadership, Blocktrade underwent significant growth and innovation, enhancing its user experience and expanding its offerings. In June 2024, Blocktrade was acquired by a group of seasoned fintech investors from Estonia, marking a new chapter for the company. Following the acquisition, Fred Kaasik assumed the role of CEO, with Christian Niedermüller stepping down from his position. Despite this transition, Christian remains active in the digital asset space, continuing his involvement in various ventures and maintaining his role as a board member of the Digital Asset Association Austria (DAAA).
