About Dave Morin
Dave Morin is a prominent venture capitalist and entrepreneur recognized for his contributions to technology and human flourishing. He co-founded and serves as Managing Partner of Offline Ventures, a firm dedicated to investing in and creating technology that aligns with human well-being. Offline Ventures operates both a traditional seed fund and a high-velocity incubation studio, launching over 100 projects annually. Prior to this, Morin was a co-founder and General Partner at Slow Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm that champions long-term thinking and innovation, managing over $1 billion in capital and supporting a community of over 300 innovative startups. His portfolio includes companies like Slack, Pinterest, Evernote, NextDoor, Postmates, Blue Bottle, and Allbirds. Morin also co-founded and served as CEO of Path, a personal social network focused on close personal relationships, which was acquired by Kakao in 2015. He has served on the boards of Eventbrite, Dwell, and Hinge, and is Chairman of the Esalen Institute, a center for exploring and realizing human potential. Morin began his career at Apple and was an early team member at Facebook, where he co-created Facebook Platform and Facebook Connect. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and grew up in Montana, where he was ranked as one of the top downhill ski racers in America. Today, he resides in Mill Valley, California, with his wife Brit and their three children.
