About Frode Strand-Nielsen

Frode Strand-Nielsen is a prominent Norwegian entrepreneur and investor, best known as the founder and managing partner of FSN Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm in Northern Europe. With a background in technology and sustainable development, he has been instrumental in shaping the firm's strategic direction and investment approach. Under his leadership, FSN Capital has managed approximately €3.5 billion in assets, investing in 22 portfolio companies that employ over 25,000 people worldwide. The firm focuses on medium-sized companies in the Nordic region, with a strong emphasis on responsible and ethical investments. Before establishing FSN Capital in 1999, Strand-Nielsen gained extensive experience in strategy consulting and mergers and acquisitions. He served as a founding director and chairman of the executive committee at Arkwright Consulting, a corporate advisory firm specializing in strategy and M&A, and was a manager at Bain & Company in London. He holds a B.A. (Hons) from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In 1978, he was named Scholar Athlete of the Year by the North American Intercollegiate Association (NAIA). In addition to his professional endeavors, Strand-Nielsen is committed to social responsibility and sustainable development. He established a foundation in honor of his late brother, providing annual contributions to projects aimed at improving conditions for children in developing countries. He also actively supports and mentors students at Simon Fraser University, reflecting his dedication to education and community engagement.
