Sabancı Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Sabancı Holding, one of Turkey's largest conglomerates. Established to gain early and economical access to new technologies and innovations, Sabancı Ventures aims to create agile and technology-driven growth platforms in line with Sabancı Holding's 'Next Generation Sabancı' strategy. The fund focuses on sectors such as fintech, mobility, healthtech, energy, AI & big data, insurtech, advanced materials, climatetech, IoT, digital, cybersecurity, and cloudtech. Sabancı Ventures typically invests in post-revenue scale-ups, seeking solid synergies and value creation opportunities between its portfolio companies and Sabancı Group companies. The fund size is $30 million, with investment ticket sizes ranging from $500,000 to $4 million. Investments are primarily in seed to Series A stage companies, though later-stage investments are also considered. As of 2024, Sabancı Ventures has made direct corporate venture capital investments in 14 companies across five countries, deploying over $14 million to date. Notable portfolio companies include Mantis Robotics, QuEra, Novus, Wellbees, GRZ Technologies, Brandefense, Fernhay Solutions, SungreenH2, Segmentify, SCW.AI, Figopara, Albert Health, ZACK.AI, and Bulutistan. The fund's strategic focus is on identifying new growth areas for Sabancı Group companies by evaluating investment opportunities with innovative business models and cutting-edge technologies. Sabancı Ventures aligns its investment decisions with the six principles of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
