Start-Up Chile
About Start-Up Chile
Start-Up Chile is a public startup accelerator created by the Chilean Government in 2010 to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. The program offers equity-free funding ranging from $15,000 to $80,000, along with a soft-landing program (visa) and acceleration support to both Chilean and foreign tech-based early-stage startups. Participants gain access to a network of corporates, investors, mentors, alumni, and a global community. The accelerator operates three main programs: the Seed program for tech-based startups with a functional product and early validation; the S Factory program for tech-based startups led by female founders; and the Huella program for tech-based startups with economic, social, and/or environmental impact. Notable success stories include NotCo, a Chilean startup that raised $30 million in 2019 from Jeff Bezos and other investors. Start-Up Chile has supported over 1,800 startups and 4,000 alumni from around the world, aiming to position Chile as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
