Vikas Gupta is an angel investor and entrepreneur based in San Francisco, California. He is the founder and CEO of Wonder Workshop, a company dedicated to making coding accessible and fun for children through interactive robots. Under his leadership, Wonder Workshop has developed products like Dash & Dot, which have been delivered to over 37 countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, European countries, India, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The company has secured significant funding from investors such as Madrona Venture Group, SoftBank Ventures Korea, and Tencent Holdings. Prior to founding Wonder Workshop, Gupta co-founded Jambool, an online company that developed Social Gold, a direct payments platform for virtual goods. In August 2010, Jambool was acquired by Google, where Gupta subsequently served as the Head of Consumer Payments. Before his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked at Amazon.com, leading the payments and web services groups. As an angel investor, Gupta has supported several startups, including Switchcam, Vetcove, Symphony Commerce, Fathom Video, BebeBurp, and his own company, Wonder Workshop.
