Viswa Colluru

Viswa Colluru is the founder and CEO of Enveda Biosciences, a biotechnology company specializing in AI-driven drug discovery from natural sources. Under his leadership, Enveda has developed a proprietary platform that combines metabolomics and machine learning to uncover new medicines from plants. The company has attracted significant investment, including a $150 million Series D round in September 2025, bringing its valuation to over $1 billion. Enveda's approach aims to expedite the drug discovery process by leveraging nature's chemical diversity, addressing challenges in traditional pharmaceutical development. Prior to founding Enveda, Colluru served as the first Innovation Scientist and Product Manager at Recursion Pharmaceuticals, where he established the Portfolio/Early Commercial team. He holds a Ph.D. in immuno-oncology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he developed novel candidate immunotherapies. In 2023, he was named a UBS Global Visionary and serves on the World Economic Forum’s Unicorn Innovator Community. In his personal life, Colluru enjoys playing and watching racquet sports, reading multiple books simultaneously, and traveling with his wife, Haliee. His work continues to influence the biotechnology sector, particularly in the integration of AI and natural product research for drug development.
