Overview
The Nairobi City County Government is procuring the construction of an animal pound and veterinary clinic in Pangani estate, Nairobi. The facility will support county veterinary services, stray animal management and community animal welfare under the County Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Veterinary Services. The works comprise civil and structural construction per the architectural and engineering drawings in the tender document.
Scope of Work
Site preparation and earthworks. Foundation and substructure. Construction of pound enclosures with appropriate fencing and shelter. Construction of veterinary clinic building. Plumbing and water supply. Electrical installation. Drainage and waste management. External works and site cleanup. Defects liability period support per the contract.
Requirements & Qualifications
NCA registration at the appropriate works category. Legally registered Kenyan construction contractor. AGPO certificate where applicable. Compliance with statutory and tax requirements. Bid security per the tender document. Track record of similar civil works.
Evaluation Criteria
County standard evaluation: mandatory compliance, technical evaluation, financial evaluation against bill of quantities. Award to lowest evaluated responsive bidder.
