About this Program

The Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative (ANPI) was Jack Ma's flagship entrepreneur programme in Africa, launched at the 2018 UN General Assembly. The Jack Ma Foundation committed USD 10 million over 10 years to recognise 100 African entrepreneurs, with annual grand finale pitch competitions awarding USD 1.5 million across 10 finalists. The programme has now been consolidated and rebranded as Africa's Business Heroes (ABH), which continues annually under Alibaba Philanthropy and the Jack Ma Foundation. ANPI is preserved here as a historical record and parent programme. For current competition details, see Africa's Business Heroes 2026.
