About this Program

The Cartier Women's Initiative is an annual international entrepreneurship programme founded in 2006 that supports women-run impact businesses globally. The 2027 edition (20th anniversary) features 10 awards: 9 regional awards (including Anglophone and Lusophone Africa, Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa, and MENA) plus the Science & Technology Pioneer Award. 30 fellows are selected (top 3 per award) and receive USD 100,000 for first place, USD 60,000 for second, USD 30,000 for third, plus an 11-month fellowship programme. Since 2006, CWI has supported 330 fellows from 66 countries.

Eligibility

Woman founder/co-founder with decision-making authority. Business 1-6 years old (incorporated June 2020-June 2025), generating revenue for at least 1 year, raised less than USD 2 million dilutive funding. For-profit or hybrid model. English proficiency at CEFR B2+. Commitment to fellowship January 2027-December 2027.
