Consultancy to support circular economy assessment, roadmap development, capacity-building, and coordination

UNDP Botswana, in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government and Traditional Affairs, is seeking a technical consultancy to strengthen Botswana's institutional, policy, legal, and technical capacity to transition toward a circular economy and implement integrated waste management systems. The assignment, under the project "Promoting Circular Economy and Waste Management at cities in five countries," covers 40 days within 6 months across three components: institutional and policy gaps analysis with a national circular economy roadmap; capacity building and institutional transformation including a PPP evaluation toolkit; and development of a national digital circular economy coordination platform. The required team comprises a Team Leader with an advanced degree and 10 years' experience in waste management and policy reform, a Digital Platform and Data Systems Expert with 7 years' experience, and a PPP, Institutional Strengthening, and Social Inclusion Expert with 7 years' experience.
