IUCN Central and West Africa Regional Office (PACO) is recruiting a local organisation in Cameroon to support indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLC) under the COLOURS programme, an IUCN initiative working with IPLCs to strengthen their voice and rights in conservation governance. The selected organisation will work directly with target communities in Cameroon over an 18-month period to facilitate community engagement, capacity building, participatory mapping, recognition of customary tenure, and meaningful inclusion in conservation decisions. The contract value is between CHF 50,000 and CHF 100,000. Cameroonian civil society organisations and community-based organisations with demonstrated IPLC track record are strongly encouraged to apply.

Support participatory mapping of customary lands, resources and uses. Document community perspectives and contributions to inform IUCN and partner programming. Facilitate IPLC engagement with national conservation authorities and relevant policy processes. Submit narrative and financial reports per IUCN reporting requirements. Coordinate with IUCN PACO Cameroon team and the COLOURS programme.
