Overview
The County Government of Nyandarua (Kenya) is procuring the equipping of the Mikeu Borehole in Geta Ward as part of its climate resilience programme. Borehole equipping includes installation of pumps, control panels, distribution piping and water storage to enable community water supply from a drilled borehole. Geta Ward is in the highland zone of Nyandarua County.
Scope of Work
Supply and installation of borehole pumping equipment (submersible pump, motor, control panel, rising main) per technical specifications. Construction of pump house and security fencing where required. Installation of distribution piping to community water points. Construction or installation of water storage tank. Test pumping and commissioning. Operator training and handover documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
Legally registered Kenyan contractor with NCA water works classification. Demonstrated experience in borehole equipping and rural water supply. Statutory compliance (CR12, KRA, NSSF, NHIF, NCA registration). Bid security per tender document.
Evaluation Criteria
Preliminary mandatory compliance, technical evaluation, financial evaluation. Award to lowest evaluated responsive bidder.
