Procurement of RFID Staff Station, RFID Library Tags and Protective Labels
The UN Secretariat has published a tender for radio frequency identification equipment, listed in the title as staff stations, library tags and protective labels, with Ethiopia recorded as the country of the requirement. The material available consists of the title and the structured record only. It gives no quantities, no technical specification, no statement of compatibility with existing library systems, no delivery points and no contract duration. It also names no eligibility criteria, no experience threshold and no documents that a supplier would have to submit. A vendor of library RFID hardware and consumables can see the three product categories involved, but cannot from this notice judge whether its range meets the requirement, how many units are wanted, or where and when they would have to be supplied and installed. The notice does not say what the winner will be obliged to deliver, install, commission or support, and it does not set out what a bid must contain.
Overview
The requirement is issued by the UN Secretariat and is recorded against Ethiopia. It covers three product lines: RFID staff stations, RFID tags for library materials and protective labels for those tags. No accompanying notice text was supplied, so the record carries nothing further about the equipment itself or the terms of the contract.
