Requirements & Qualifications

The successful candidate shall meet the following minimum qualifications and experience: - A university degree from an accredited university in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent relevant discipline. - A minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience, including broad experience in the management of procurement in the public or private sector. - A minimum of four (4) years of experience implementing procurement activities in accordance with the procurement guidelines and procedures of international organizations, such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, United Nations, INGOs, or similar development partners, particularly in the procurement of goods and services. - Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Knowledge and understanding of project planning and implementation. - High standards of reliability, integrity, ethical conduct, and professional accountability. - Strong communication and representation skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural and challenging environments. - Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based applications. - Knowledge of Somaliland’s public financial management laws and regulations. - Knowledge of World Bank and/or other development partner procurement standards and requirements. - Strong working knowledge of written and spoken English.
