Rehabilitation Works for the Spillway, Embankment Dam, and Dam Instrumentation Equipment
The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited invites sealed bids for the rehabilitation and strengthening of Kapichira Dam under the Malawi Emergency Power Restoration Project. The project includes reconstruction of the embankment dam, construction of spillways and irrigation intake, installation of dam instrumentation, and removal of cofferdams. 2. The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction Works for Kapichira Dam Rehabilitation and Strengthening. The scope of works includes: - Comprehensive rehabilitation and strengthening of Kapichira Dam by reconstruction of the damaged earthfill embankment dam, construction of emergency spillway with automatic Tops gates, construction of Permanent Irrigation Intake, construction of right dam abutment, main spillway rehabilitation, rehabilitation of training dyke and installation of modern dam instrumentation for dam safety monitoring.

Requirements & Qualifications
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain the Bidding document in English upon submission of a written application and payment of a nonrefundable fee of MWK35,000.00 or USD50.00. Bids must be delivered to the Chief Executive Officer by 2 P.M. Wednesday 11 November 2026. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration and a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
