Overview
The United Nations World Food Programme, through its Sudan Country Office, is inviting expressions of interest from companies and joint ventures seeking registration as suppliers of construction, engineering and design services. The registration covers two broad groups: construction and engineering works, and design and consultancy services, each broken down into named categories. Applicants are registered under the categories they select. No specific assignment, site or contract is described.
Scope of Work
Construction & Engineering Works: General building construction and rehabilitation; Road construction, earthworks and civil infrastructure works; Bridge Construction and Rehabilitation; Hydrology, Irrigation, dams, and water control structures; Borehole drilling, installation, and rehabilitation/Water treatment and filtration plants; Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works; Electrical power systems and control works; Solar energy systems (on-grid and off-grid); UPS and backup power systems; Networking, ICT, and low-current systems; Security systems (CCTV, access control, perimeter security); Steel structures, warehouses, and prefabricated buildings. Design & Consultancy Services: 1. Architectural and building design 2. Structural engineering and design of specialized structures (e.g. silos, tunnels and industrial facilities 3. Roads, bridges, and infrastructure design 4. Water, hydraulic, and irrigation engineering design 5. Solar energy and renewable energy system design 6. Electrical and control systems design 7. Environmental, Geotechnical, and feasibility studies
Requirements & Qualifications
Legally registered, qualified, reputable and financially capable companies and joint ventures with demonstrated experience in construction, engineering and design services. Qualified and reputable suppliers are encouraged to complete the attached Supplier Registration Form and specify the category or categories under which they wish to be registered. Suppliers may apply for multiple categories, provided they can demonstrate the relevant experience, expertise, and capacity for each category selected.
