Supply and Installation of Integrated Hammer Mills for Agricultural Lime Production (Lime Crusher Machines)
The Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia is seeking bids for the supply and installation of three integrated hammer mills, described as lime crusher machines, for agricultural lime production at sites in Oromia, Amhara and Central Ethiopia regional states. The procurement forms part of the Ethiopia Food System Resilience Program, financed through an IDA credit from the World Bank, with payments to be made under the Direct Payment disbursement method or by letter of credit. Bidding follows an international competitive process under a two envelope Request for Bids procedure, with technical and financial parts submitted and opened separately. Bid evaluation weights rated criteria at 30 percent and bid cost at 70 percent. Delivery of the goods and completion of associated construction facilities is expected within five months of contract signing or letter of credit opening. Scope of Work
- The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply and Installation of Three (3) Integrated Hammer Mills (Lime Crusher Machines) including construction facilities for Agricultural Lime Production at Three Selected Sites: Oromia (Toke Kutaye-Guder), Amhara (Mekedela), and Central Ethiopia (Debub Sodo-Kella) Regional States. The delivery of the goods is expected to be five months from the signing of the contract and/or after L/C opening.
Requirements & Qualifications
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture, Procurement Executive, and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm from Mondays to Thursdays, and on Fridays from 8:30am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 5:30pm local time. 8:30AM to 5:30PM at the address given below. Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding documents. The following weightings shall apply for Rated Criteria (including technical and non-price factors): 30% and for Bid cost: 70%. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1,000 (One Thousand Birr Only) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Bidders' who wish to have the bid document delivered to their address by a courier service pay an additional amount of ETB 5,000.00 or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency for courier service charge or send a prepaid courier service coupon to the purchaser address below. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 1,000,000.00 (One Million Birr Only) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
