Overview

TradeMark Africa is recruiting an external audit firm for the financial years 2026/2027, 2027/2028 and 2028/2029. The firm will conduct annual statutory audits and donor-specific audits across TMA Group entities in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, DRC, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Côte d Ivoire and Ghana. The bidding document includes pre-bid clarifications and an Annex of TMA Expenditure per Country.

Scope of Work

Annual statutory audit of TMA group financial statements per IFRS or applicable framework. Donor-specific audits aligned to FCDO, Sida, Norad, Gates Foundation, Mastercard Foundation, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, EU, Canada and AFD requirements. Country-level statutory audits where required. Management letters and recommendations. Coordination with TMA Internal Audit and Finance teams. Staff training and capacity building as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Internationally recognised audit firm with multi-country presence in East and Central Africa. Affiliation with a Big-4 or top-tier international network strongly preferred. Proven track record auditing aid-for-trade or large multi-donor programmes. Compliance with TMA Supplier Code of Conduct.

Evaluation Criteria

TMA standard procurement: preliminary mandatory check, technical evaluation (firm capacity, multi-country footprint, references, audit team CVs, methodology), financial evaluation. Combined scoring; award to highest combined score.
