Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Egypt Country Office is procuring the design and delivery of an awareness campaign on the Climate Related Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Plan for Damietta, one of Egypt Mediterranean delta governorates highly exposed to sea level rise, coastal flooding, salinisation and other climate-driven hazards. The campaign will translate the technical DRR plan into accessible community communication, building public awareness, household preparedness and community resilience. Outputs will include creative materials, community events and media coverage in Arabic.
Scope of Work
Inception meeting and review of the Damietta DRR Plan. Audience analysis and message design tailored to Damietta communities (urban, rural, fishing communities, schools). Creative development of campaign materials (print, digital, audio-visual, social media) in Arabic. Production of materials. Roll-out through community events, media partnerships and digital channels. Engagement with local government, civil society and community leaders. Monitoring of campaign reach and engagement. Final campaign report with results and recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Communications/awareness agency with demonstrated experience designing and delivering public awareness campaigns in Egypt or comparable Arabic-speaking contexts. Familiarity with DRR, climate change adaptation or environmental communications. Local presence in Egypt or strong Egyptian partnership. Arabic native or fluent working language. UNDP Quantum portal account.
Evaluation Criteria
UNDP standard RFP evaluation: technical proposal, financial proposal, combined scoring. Award to highest combined score.
