Bank of Sudan is the central bank of the Republic of Sudan, established in 1960 at independence from Anglo-Egyptian rule. Bank of Sudan is responsible for monetary policy, issuing the Sudanese Pound, and regulating the country's financial system based on Islamic banking principles.
