Debonairs Pizza is South Africa's largest indigenous pizza chain, founded in 1991 by two students, Clive Weinberg and Shaun Grobler, who started the business while at Pietermaritzburg University. Now part of the JSE-listed Famous Brands group, Debonairs operates over 500 outlets across South Africa and in multiple African countries, and is famous for its "Triple Decker" pizza and innovative menu items targeting the South African youth market. The brand represents one of South Africa's most successful student-founded franchise stories.
