Fustat Pottery Village

Fustat Pottery Village is a community of traditional Egyptian pottery and ceramic artisans located in Old Cairo on the site of Egypt's first Islamic capital (founded 641 AD). The pottery tradition in Fustat dates back over a thousand years, and the village hosts craftsmen producing traditional and contemporary Egyptian ceramics for local and tourist markets.
