Haldane Martin Design Studio

Haldane Martin is an acclaimed South African product design studio founded by Haldane Martin in Cape Town. The studio is famous for designing iconic South African-inspired furniture including the "Songololo" sofa (named after the Zulu word for millipede), the "Zulu Mama Chair" (inspired by Zulu basket weaving), and the "Afrocentric Fauteuil" among other celebrated pieces. Haldane Martin represents South African contemporary product design drawing on African aesthetics, and his work has been exhibited at major international design events including Milan Design Week.
