Tamale Rice Mills Cluster

The Tamale Rice Mills Cluster represents indigenous Ghanaian rice mills operating in Tamale and surrounding Northern Region towns, processing paddy rice from Northern Ghanaian smallholder farmers into milled white rice for the Ghanaian domestic market. The cluster supports Ghana's rice self-sufficiency strategy under the government's Planting for Food and Jobs programme and represents the frontline of Northern Ghanaian agro-processing.
