StarShea Limited is a Ghanaian shea butter processing and export company based in Tamale, Northern Region, owned partly by women's shea cooperatives. The company aggregates raw shea nuts from tens of thousands of rural Ghanaian women collectors and processes them into premium shea butter for export to international cosmetics manufacturers. StarShea operates on a social enterprise model with profit-sharing benefits for the rural women supplier communities.
