Thebe Magugu

Thebe Magugu is South Africa's most internationally acclaimed luxury fashion brand, founded by Thebe Magugu, a Kimberley-born designer who became the first African designer to win the prestigious LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers in 2019 (the USD 300,000 prize and year of mentorship from the LVMH group). The Johannesburg-based brand produces womenswear and menswear that reinterprets South African history, heritage, and storytelling through contemporary silhouettes. Thebe Magugu has been worn by Lupita Nyong'o, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Zendaya, and other global celebrities, and the brand recently opened the Thebe Magugu House flagship in Johannesburg.
