Chad Byers

Chad Byers is a co-founder and general partner at Susa Ventures, a San Francisco-based seed-stage venture capital firm. He specializes in investments in fintech, healthcare, and logistics sectors. Since 2013, Susa Ventures has invested in companies such as Robinhood, Flexport, TogetherAI, and Stord. At Susa Ventures, Byers leads or co-leads investments in various stages, including pre-seed, seed, Series B, and beyond, with check sizes ranging from $1 million to $5 million. His geographical focus spans the United States, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania. Byers has a preference for leading rounds and has invested in industries like cloud, enterprise, fintech, healthcare, industrial, insuretech, marketplace, proptech, SaaS, and more. Before co-founding Susa Ventures, Byers held roles at Integrate.com, Silver Spring Networks, Bloom Energy, and Electronic Arts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. In 2015, he was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in Venture Capital. Byers is also the founder of Byers Capital, a family office focusing on early-stage technology investments, with notable investments in Neuralink, SpaceX, and Vial.
