Giles Trotter

Giles Trotter is a UK-based travel business veteran and angel investor. He has over 30 years of experience in the travel industry, having led safaris from the age of 18 and worked in geological exploration before establishing his own safari operation in Zambia. In 1996, he returned to the UK to set up Scott Dunn World, a luxury specialist tour operator. He now continues to run the tailormade holidays at Scott Dunn and lives near Winchester with his wife and three children. In 2016, Trotter invested in the South African travel startup Big5Boutique, which rebranded as Timbuktu. The platform allows travelers to customize their itineraries and connect directly with local experts in Africa, aiming to simplify the planning and booking of African safaris.
