Kurt R. Jaggers is a seasoned private equity investor with over 30 years of experience, primarily focusing on investments in software, internet, and communications companies. He joined TA Associates in 1990, where he co-headed the North America Technology Group and served on the Executive, Core Investment, and Portfolio Committees. During his tenure, he sponsored 30 investments and played a pivotal role in helping seven portfolio companies complete initial public offerings, continuing to serve on their boards post-IPO. His leadership extended to serving on more than 30 TA investment committees. Prior to his career at TA Associates, Kurt held engineering, management, and consulting positions at Network Equipment Technologies, ROLM Corporation, Business Computer Corporation, and the Boston Consulting Group. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Beyond his professional endeavors, Kurt is actively involved in nonprofit organizations. He serves on the board of directors for the East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring organization, which provides academic, athletic, mentorship, and parent empowerment programs to under-resourced students in the community. Additionally, he joined the board of directors of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) in August 2023, contributing his expertise to support the organization's mission of defending free speech rights. Kurt's extensive experience and strategic insights have significantly contributed to the growth and success of numerous companies across various industries, solidifying his reputation as a distinguished figure in the private equity sector.
