The Makerere Innovation and Incubation Center (MIIC) is a business incubator dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and innovators to transform their ideas into successful startups. Established in 2017, MIIC is a partnership between the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and Makerere University. The center offers a range of programs and services, including tailored incubation and innovation programs, mentorship, product-to-market launch support, funding and investment facilitation, community engagement, and alumni support. MIIC focuses on sectors such as technology, healthcare, e-commerce, agriculture, education, energy, environment, tourism, entertainment, sports, finance, real estate, manufacturing, transport, and media. The center operates from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
