Robin Dechant

An active angel investor and entrepreneur with a focus on scaling technology companies. Robin Dechant is a partner at General Catalyst, leading the European resilience thesis with a focus on seed investments. He has a background in investing in software and marketplace companies, having previously worked at P9 Capital. Robin is particularly interested in companies that transform physical industries, including manufacturing, energy, and defense. In addition to his role at General Catalyst, Robin is an active angel investor in various startups, such as Maven, Taktile, Remberg, Root Global, Rivan, Sensmore, Karman+, and Electricity Maps. He has also been involved as an LP in various venture funds. Robin holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from institutions in Germany, Sweden, and South Africa.
