What the programme covers
Component 1
Improving the quality of teaching in primary and secondary schools through: (a) Strengthening teaching of foundational skills (literacy and numeracy) in early primary grades (Grades 1-3). (b) Implementing a National Learning Assessment in junior secondary (Grade 9), and (c) Scaling up online mathematics and science training for junior secondary school teachers.

Enhancing physical learning conditions in targeted primary and secondary schools through: - Improving basic infrastructure in targeted primary schools. - Constructing laboratories and workshops in targeted secondary schools.
