Scope of Work

The requested services covered by these terms of reference are to support the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) and the Technical Implementation Units (TIUs) of “Greater Cairo Air Pollution Management and Climate Change (GGAP&CC) Project” in the implementation of the service of Developing Guidelines for the Healthcare Waste Management in Egypt The Project now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested suppliers should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the scope. The expected duration of the assignment is 12 months

Requirements & Qualifications

The Expression of Interest (EOI) should demonstrate the firm’s capabilities and experience in relation to the assignment. The shortlist will be established based on the following criteria: Company Profile for each consultant firm. Proven prior experience of at least 7 years in HCWM in the Healthcare sector. Proven experience in at least one similar assignment (the preparation the HCWM guidelines). The consulting firm's key Experts must have adequate skills and experience related to assignments of similar scale and scope in HCWM. Familiarity with the World Bank's Regulation /Environmental Laws and regulations of Egypt and any applicable healthcare waste management guidelines. Interested Consultants should pay attention to Section III, paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the Procurement Regulations regarding conflict of interest. Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications in the form of a joint venture or sub-consultancy. For joint ventures, all partners shall be jointly and severally liable.
